EDDY L. McKENNEY
FAIRBANKS, ALASKA -- Eddy L. McKenney, 41, of Fairbanks, Alaska, died
Fri., Sept. 3, 1999.
Born Oct. 25, 1957, in Tucson, Ariz., he was a U.S. Air Force and U.S.
Army National Guard veteran, pilot, had a bachelor’s degree in aviation
administration from Henderson State University, started Servant Air Inc.
and organized American Steel motorcycle club and served as its first
president. He was predeceased by is his great-grandparents, Will and
Martha Fisher, and his grandmother, Kate Goodner. He has since been
deceased by one brother-in-law, Felipe Navarro.
Survivors include his wife, Gigi McKenney of Fairbanks; five children,
Lyndell McKenney, Melissa Delgado, Avery Thompson, Caleb Thompson and
Devin Thompson, all of Fairbanks; his parents, William E. and Joanne
McKenney of Mount Ida; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and
Shirley McKenney of Brunswick, Ga.; four sisters and two brothers-in-
law, Cheryl Marshall of Huntingtown, Md., Teresa and Corky Light of
Arkadelphia, Deanna and Gary Miller of Waldorf, Md., and Lori Guillen of
Miami; his grandmother, Ina Smith Hopkins of Tacoma, Wash.; his step-
grandmother,
Helen Schenck of Tacoma; aunts; uncles; nieces; and nephews.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Mon. at First Baptist Church, Mount
Ida.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alaska USA Federal Credit
Union, P.O. Box 196613, Anchorage, AK 99519-6613 to the Eddy McKenney
Memorial Fund for the education of his children.
